Questions

Questions we hear most often from buyers at the enquiry and pre-order stage. If your question is not covered here, contact SUHMAN's engineering team directly — most technical and commercial questions can be answered within one working day.

01

Equipment Selection

How do I choose between a jaw crusher, cone crusher, and impact crusher?

The choice depends on material type and where in the crushing sequence the machine sits.

Jaw crushers handle primary crushing — reducing large feed material to a workable intermediate size. They handle both hard and soft rock and construction waste. Start here if your feed is coarse and unprocessed.

Cone crushers are for secondary or tertiary crushing of hard, abrasive materials: granite, basalt, andesite, river pebbles, iron ore, copper ore. They produce consistent particle shape and are the right choice where aggregate quality matters for concrete or asphalt production.

Impact crushers handle primary, secondary, or tertiary crushing of softer materials: limestone, bluestone, dolomite, coal, and construction waste. They produce a more cubic particle shape than jaw crushers at primary stage, but wear faster on highly abrasive materials.

For most hard-rock quarry projects, the standard train is jaw + cone + screen. For limestone or construction waste recycling, jaw + impact + screen is more common.

How do I choose between a tracked unit and a modular (stationary) unit?

Tracked units are for projects where the equipment needs to move — following the mining face, relocating between sites, or operating on ground where laying foundations is impractical. They are ready to operate within hours of arriving on site and require no civil works.

Modular units are skid-mounted and designed for semi-permanent installation. They are lower in capital cost than tracked equivalents and suited to sites where location is fixed and the equipment will stay in one place for the duration of the project.

If you are uncertain, tracked is the lower-risk choice — it does not preclude stationary operation, but gives you flexibility if site conditions change.

What is the capacity range of SUHMAN equipment?

Typical plant configurations cover 80 to 450 TPH. Standard configurations are sized at 100, 200, 250, 300, 400, and 450 TPH. Actual throughput depends on material hardness, feed size distribution, crusher setting, and screen configuration.

For hard rock such as granite or basalt, expect capacity at the lower end of each model's range. For softer materials such as limestone or construction waste, capacity will be at the higher end.

SUHMAN's engineering team will size the configuration to your specific material and project targets — contact us with your material type and required TPH for a recommendation.

What is the maximum feed size your equipment can handle?

Maximum feed size is model-dependent and typically ranges up to 600–900 mm for primary jaw crusher models. The SE-650D accepts feed up to 700 mm. Specific maximum feed sizes for each model are listed in the technical datasheets.

Can your equipment handle construction and demolition waste, including rebar concrete?

Yes. SUHMAN impact crusher and jaw crusher models are used in C&D waste recycling applications. For material containing rebar, a magnetic separation unit and pre-screening module can be added. Reinforced wear packages are available for applications with high steel content.

What output sizes can I produce?

Common outputs are 0–5, 5–10, 10–20, and 20–31.5 mm, or custom blends. Output size is adjusted by changing the crusher's closed-side setting (CSS) and selecting appropriate screen media apertures. The SF-380D-S integrated model produces two output sizes simultaneously; the SF-380D-2S produces three sizes simultaneously.

What equipment do you recommend for high-hardness hard rock?

For hard rock such as granite, basalt, and andesite, SUHMAN recommends a jaw crusher and cone crusher combination with a multi-deck screening plant. The SY-HP300 cone crusher is the most commonly specified model for secondary hard-rock crushing at 200–300 TPH.

02

Delivery & Lead Times

What is the production lead time?

Standard production time is 30 to 45 days from order confirmation. This covers manufacturing, assembly, and pre-shipment testing.

How long does shipping take?

Shipping time depends on destination:

  • Southeast Asia: 15–20 days
  • Middle East: 25–30 days
  • Africa: 30–35 days

Total delivery time from order confirmation to arrival on site is typically 45 to 90 days.

Do you ship to my country?

SUHMAN exports to more than 50 countries including Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam, India, across Africa, the Middle East, South America, and Australia. SUHMAN handles all export documentation in-house and can arrange door-to-door delivery.

If your country is not listed, contact us — most destinations are serviceable.

03

Installation & Commissioning

How long does installation and commissioning take?

A single tracked mobile unit can be production-ready within a few hours of offload under normal site conditions. Full train commissioning — jaw, cone or impact, and screen — typically takes one to three days depending on configuration complexity and site conditions.

Do you provide installation support?

Yes. SUHMAN provides remote video guidance as standard at no additional charge during installation and initial commissioning. On-site engineer dispatch is available for projects where remote guidance is not sufficient. Detailed installation documentation is supplied with every unit.

Does the equipment require foundation work?

No. Tracked mobile units require no civil foundations. A reasonably level, load-bearing ground surface is sufficient. For soft or waterlogged ground, compacted fill or steel plates under the tracks may be required.

04

Warranty & After-Sales

What is the warranty period?

SUHMAN offers a two-year warranty on all main components as standard, covering the main frame, motor and engine, bearings, and hydraulic system. This is double the one-year warranty standard among most comparable manufacturers. Extended warranty packages are available on request.

What after-sales support do you provide?

SUHMAN provides 24/7 technical support via phone and WhatsApp, remote video troubleshooting, on-site service dispatch when needed, lifetime spare parts supply, and two-year warranty service.

Where are spare parts stocked?

Standard wear components for current models are stocked at SUHMAN's regional warehouse serving Southeast Asia, with dispatch within 48 hours of order confirmation. All parts, including non-stocked items, are available from the main facility in Hefei. See the Spare Parts page for detail.

05

Commercial & Payment

What payment methods do you accept?

SUHMAN accepts T/T bank transfer (standard terms: 30% deposit, 70% balance before shipment), L/C at sight for larger orders, Western Union, and PayPal for small orders and parts.

Can you customize equipment for my country's requirements?

Yes. SUHMAN offers full customization including engine emissions standard (China Stage IV, EPA Tier 4, Euro V), operating voltage (110V / 220V / 380V / 440V), control panel language, color, capacity configuration, and component brand preferences. Customization is available at no additional cost for standard variants.

Do you offer OEM or ODM services?

Yes. SUHMAN provides OEM and ODM support for distributors and equipment resellers who require branded or customized configurations. Contact SUHMAN's commercial team to discuss scope and minimum order quantities.

How do I get a price for equipment?

SUHMAN does not publish equipment prices. Pricing depends on model, configuration, customization requirements, and destination. To receive a quotation, submit an enquiry with your material type, required capacity, and destination country. SUHMAN's engineering team will recommend a configuration and provide pricing within one working day.
